Dr. Emma Phinney has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember.
Her love of animals initially drew her to the profession, and as she continued to learn and grow, she developed a passion for the science and problem-solving side of veterinary medicine.
Dr. Phinney grew up in Draper, Utah, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Denison University, where she played on the varsity women’s soccer team. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the joint program at Utah State University and Washington State University. Dr. Phinney has interests in preventative medicine and internal medicine. She is Fear Free certified and is committed to making every visit as stress-free for patients as possible (she always has treats handy!). She is excited to explore Colorado and hopefully adopt a dog soon! In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer and hockey, camping, hiking, skiing, crocheting, and reading.
She is excited to join the team at Tall Grass and meet you and your pets!
